Diplomatically. I said I would definitely do what was required to do an excellent job without noting that I was given the impression, confirmed by subsequent research, that the company was not above board. The interviewer himself came across as a bit of a con artist. I have never met anyone else in the non-profit sector like him. The attitude of the interviewer, who was the executive director at the time, was off. He gave me the impression that he was running something like a bucket shop. Though generally in Canada a foundation would be a registered charity and give donors tax deductible receipts, this foundation, though supposedly active in Canada, only gives tax receipts from its parent foundation, which is an American charity. In the US, this company has been ranked in either the top 10 or top 50 worst charities in the country. Less
