They ask you sections of questions. Each section has about 4-8 questions in it. The first are general questions like: "Tell me why you would be a good fit for this position / why you want this position" or "Tell me about your education". The second are situational based questions like: "Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a patient/client" or "Name a time you had to make an important decision on your own because your supervisor was unable to be contacted". The third types of questions are factual and require basic knowledge of nutrition. Some questions are about food allergies, specific special diets, DM diets, etc.

I answered the situational based questions using the experience I had in my dietetic internship and specifically related them back to my clinical rotation. For example, I went above and beyond for a patient by not just answering their questions during my patient visit but by then going and doing research + printing out a packet of evidence based information for the patient even though they didn't even ask for it. The patient was very pleased. As for the nutrition knowledge questions just do the best you can and its okay if you admit you don't know an answer completely. They value honesty. I had to name all of the 7 basic food allergies and I was unable to recall the last few and just admitted that. Less
