I was asked to explain why I allowed my company to go under. She fired off numerous challenging, negatively phrased questions assuming she was right and I was wrong about everything. This woman seemed to have preconceived ideas about my prior employers without knowing anything about those businesses. Her attitude was argumentative from the moment she laid eyes on me. I could never work with someone like this, she seems to be a poor listener with a short temper.

This is very true. I interviewed for a Sales position in 2012. Went through two interviews (phone and in person) and then went fine. The last two in person interviews were a terror. The individuals that I spoke to were some of the rudest, nastiest, most unprofessional people that I've ever met. It is definitely a unhealthy work environment. I ended up getting a better job soon afterwards. Less

As the Supervisor, it is your job to lead , educate and direct your employees. But the key is communication and follow up to ensure the assigned task were completed timely. Less

My answer will depend on the situation I am in. Currently, I am in a good postion with Allied Barton Security. If I was working with/at Safeway as a second job and they offered me a management position; I would decline, but continue working as a clerk. If Safeway was my only job, I would take it. More money will always help, and if the position truely makes you unhappy, than you can quite later. Remember, you can turn any job into a Career. But a Job will never be what you love. Less

No difficult questions. They will be focused on customer service, so have stories ready to tell about actual situations you have been in. For example, you will be asked if you encounter a dissatisfied customer how you will handle the situation. Always answer the question with a story, don't try to make something up. Don't answer with " this is how I would handle it", answer with " this is how I handled it and tell your story.

While I was a sheet metal mechanic my boss asked me to come up with a plan and schedule to install 14 6' diameter exhaust fans. I started by recruiting 4 dependable guys I knew would help and not hinder the install. I decided to hang the fans using a series of chain falls to lift the fans and pull them into place at the same time. After we had the fan in place we fastened it with bolts to the side of the filter house and hung it from 1/2 " threaded rod. Complete success. Less
