pretty easy questions - technical screening consisting of general programming questions and general SQL questions. The general programming questions were things like, how can you switch two variables without using a third variable? The SQL questions were along the lines of write a query that returns a, b, and c from this table and ordered in this way.
- How can you switch two variables without using a third variable?

Phone interview then zoom and and person meeting. Went very well. They are honest and will not sugar coat it. Very good job. Bobby is great. Company may want you to relocate.
- What does leadership mean to you
Fedex or XPO? Got 2 job offer. Field Sales AE @fedex and Inside Sales AE @XPO. Fedex - 77K Base W/5K Sign on. Field Based role so ill be Hybrid. OTE commission is about 18,800 a year which seems relatively low but looking at the comp structure if youre sitting at 120-130% its about 2,500/Month. XPO- 74K Base W/1K sign on bonus. It’s also hybrid (2-3 days in office 2-3 days WFH.) Dont have a comp plan, but was told avg comm a month is 2k with top reps at 10k/month. XPO is 25 miles away fh.
You should get more clarity on comp for both roles and see what you can negotiate.

Easy interview, they were desperate to fill the position and the position seemed to have some issues with their environmental compliance department. I didn’t end up taking it because of the red flags

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Ann Arbor, MI
I interviewed at XPO (Ann Arbor, MI)
3 rounds: initial discovery, meeting the team, and the last one was an excel assessment. The whole process spanned about 2 weeks. The communication was very clear and I found the overall team to be a positive place to be if I was still in the area long term. I declined the role as I wanted a slightly different trajectory and preferred remote at the time.
- How do you face adversity within a team?
