      Internship Interview

      10 Oct 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vrbo

      Interview

Met the recruiters on campus. Completed on campus interview, followed by coding challenge, and a final onsite interview before getting the offer. The recruiters were extremely friendly. Their tech interviews are a little strange in that they are usually partner questions where you answer a coding question in a pair, but they do that to see how you work in a team and it's kinda nice having someone to work on a tech question with.

      Question 1

String Parsing Question. Coding challenge was not too difficult.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vrbo (Tempe, AZ) in Sept 2016

      Interview

I met them at my university's career fair and they asked me a couple of questions about hash tables which I answered. I got an email from them stating they would be giving me a technical interview the day after. The people I had met before the interview and the interviewer were all very nice and sociable people.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The main question was a 2sum question. What is the best way to find out if two elements in an array sum to a specific value. The answer involves using a hash table.
