I applied through university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (San Antonio, TX) in Oct 2012
Interview
Applied through my college recruiting website, and was notified that I would have an interview on a scheduled day.
In the interview, I was given a few problems. The first problem involved a simple algebraic problem solving skills. The second was designing a system for a pizza restaurant. The third was coming up with an innovation to replace elevators and escalators.
Really they just wanted to see if I was logical yet creative while still being personable.

Question 1
In the second interview they gave me a situation:
If you were told one year in advance that a giant earthquake would completely break california from the mainland US, and had anyone's skills at your disposal, what would you do to prepare for that day.
First round is an IT assessment with 3 questions and 40 minutes in duration. You have 48 hours after the email was sent to you to complete the test. Second round is a phone screening. Finally, the last round is a technical interview.
It was only one interview. I got a text asking what time to schedule it and I accepted it. Then, I was the selected candidate to get the offer. I waited for nearly two weeks to hear back from the team. My interview was also 8 months out from the internship.
