Have patience. Be ready to give answers to questions that seem random like talking about a bad work situation and how you handled it etc.. if you got an interview you most likely have 75% chance at getting hired they are just getting a feel for what kind of person you sound like, look like to see if you world be a good fit for representing the administration. So go in like you've already won and sound/look happy and professional like someone they would like to work with. It will be a panel of 3 people that take turns asking you questions and remember that they are just people that work there and had to go to an interview too so they understand and if they didn't want you to would not have an interview in the first place.

The interview process is all performance based questions and answers, so be prepared Give examples and explain your examples Example how do you work with a difficult coworker, supervisor or lead?

I attending a job fair at the VA, filled out an application submitted my resume for positions I qualified for. Later groups were called to interview for a Group interview. Depending on the position there was anywhere from five to ten candidates present.

three person panel. Each person asks you a question and you answer it. they "grade" you on the answers when picking a candidate. after the position closes they select one or more depending on the number of vacancies. If you're selected HR will call you with soft offer.

There was none. It was direct hire. They still took a while to do the background check but other than that it was pretty simple. The orientation takes two weeks

Received phone call to schedule interview via online video conference. Technical difficulties prevented the video portion from working on their end so it ended up just being a conference call with 4 people.

Pain staking long process to get hired, make sure you have solid resume make sure you have the right sf50 there's a lot of little things that can slow the process down or even disqualify you, and make sure you dress professionally do you know what they're going to be asking and answer honestly and if you don't know tell me

Job Fair on Saturday that had around 3 hr window. Resume was reviewed for experience/qualifications to go to next phase of panel or denied. Interview consisted 2 person panel with approximately 5 questions and scored.

It was an easy interview. The waiting process is what took the longest. Being new to applying for government jobs this was new for me. I feel this part should be sped up especially for an entry level MSA position.
