I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at UC San Diego (La Jolla, CA)
Interview
Simple process. Enthusiasm, and interest is of utmost importance. I applied for a biology research assistant position. Your experience will largely depend on the research lab you join. Depending on group, some work experience is necessary. Class experience can sometimes substitute for experience, but you should do well in your classes!
The interview was conducted over zoom and felt more like a conversation. I felt comfortable. I was asked about my prior experiences, what I wanted to learn, and my career goals
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UC San Diego (San Diego, CA) in May 2013
Interview
Going through essential tasks and checking for competency. Asked basic questions about knowledge of job requirements and background for position. Easy and informal interview that lasted maybe an hour. Easy.
