Got an email from school saying to apply for a research position at an off campus research facility. Director wanted to meet with me. Not much of an interview as I was told I already got the position.

Tell me about yourself and why you chose to apply for this position.
I submitted an application to the research lab of interest then received an email to schedule an interview. The process was one interview with the Ph. D. candidate for the position. Received email about confirmation and start date
The process is very interesting and it gives you the opportunity to showcase how you can create value. I really enjoyed it. The hiring manager will ask you questions related to your resume and then you will have the chance to speak with a researcher. They are all very polite and nice.
