I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tractor Supply (Cordova, TN) in May 2014
Interview
It was fairly simply. I was asked general questions. They look for people with interests or experience in farming, equine, etc. (what you would expect). I would recommend not applying if you are not in this kind of work. They most likely will not hire you as they want employees that can relate well to the customers.

Question 1
Do you have any experience or interest in farming or equine (something like that)?
I applied online. I interviewed at Tractor Supply (Killeen, TX) in Jan 2026
Interview
I had a great interview experience with Tractor Supply Company. The conversation was thorough while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The interviewer was realistic and transparent about the role, expectations, and work environment, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a very positive and professional experience.

Question 1
One question they asked me was how I handle situations where multiple tasks need to be completed at the same time and how I prioritize to keep things running smoothly.
The female interviewer and store manager gave off poor vibes. As soon as I walked through the door of the interview room she had a rude tone with me. She seemed to already have her mind set to not hire me and the interview felt like a waste of time and unnecessary.
It was pretty much your straight forward process. I filled out the online app and got called in for an interview fairly quickly. I spoke with the manager about my past work history. There weren't really any trick questions.
