It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Rosemont, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Arrive at the hotel (early) with your resume for an open session group interview; make sure you complete the online application prior to this session, it's helpful that your email address on your resume and in their system match. Approximately 60 people showed up, they split us into 2 groups. You sign-in, hand them your resume and then take off your shoes to measure your height (5'0-6'0) prior to going into the room. Current flight attendants give a brief overview of the company, what to expect if you are invited to attend training, and relocation info once you successfully complete the 29 day training program. You can then ask any questions. After the intro you're given a quick break to decide if you want to continue. After the break you take your seat and they call names (in order of the sign-in sheet) to speak in front of the group for 60 seconds. You are asked to state your name and tell them why you would be a good flight attendant for SkyWest. Focus on your professional experience and key points that make you a good fit for this line of work; do not focus on your personal life. After everyone has presented you are then given a 45-min break so then can decide who is chosen to continue for a 1 on 1 interview with one of the FA's. They post a list on the door with a handful on names, if your name is not on the list you are free to leave and can re-apply in 90 days. If you are chosen, you sit with a current FA for a 10-15 min interview. After the 1 on 1 they ask if you have any questions and that you will receive an email in about 2 weeks to inform you whether or not you are invited to their training program (Park City, Utah). I left feeling very good about the experience and received a "Congratulations" email 6 days later.

The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.

Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
