I had an unexpected experience during my interview process with Citi. After preparing and taking the time to attend the interview, I was informed that the position had already been filled. While I understand that hiring decisions can move quickly, it would have been more professional to notify me beforehand rather than during the interview. Clear communication is an essential part of the recruitment process, and candidates appreciate transparency regarding job availability. A simple update prior to the interview would have saved time for both parties. I hope Citi takes this feedback into account to improve the candidate experience moving forward.
