I had the opportunity to speak with an entry-level HR recruiter over the phone. She knew nothing about the position and only asked a handful of questions. She did not reply to my thank you email or follow up email. She was a bit awkward on the phone call and she obviously did not think I was a good fit since I was not contacted back. My current role would have made me the perfect fit for the job based on experience and knowledge. It is a bit frustrating that people in HR determine if someone is a good fit for a position without knowing anything about the position themselves. Just give me a chance to talk to the hiring manager or someone who KNOWS about the role so that they can make a proper judgement on if I'm a good fit or not. Don't call me and ask silly questions such as "what are you 3 strengths?" and other BS questions.
