I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at SSP Limited in Jan 2018
Interview
Worst interview experience:
2 calls scheduled but no one called;
I was then invited at the Halifax office for a face to face. Waited 30 min for the interviewer to have a discussion that could as well be over the phone. No sorry for waiting or something similar - he was very arrogant.
Thank you for this feedback. I am sorry that you did not have a positive experience back in January 2018. Since then we have a built more robust way of hiring and interviewing candidates. We invite suitable candidates to have a call with the recruiter to set expectations. We then ask them to complete a technical challenge prior to coming to the office by using Hacker Rank. This stops any unnecessary visits and we can also see what the coding is like for each candidate. Every manager we would expect to be on time and have a set of relevant questions to ask for each candidate at interview. So my apologies for your experience but we have since changed how we interview candidates and would hope you would consider applying to us again in the future.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SSP Limited (Gurgaon, Haryana)
Interview
Java- got opportunity via recruitment agency. 1st round was telephonic. It was based on core Java fundamentals and collections. 2nd round was machine round, although I was informed that it would be Face to face. It was a scenario based question to be implemented using Java 7. Difficulty was average. Kind of an API implementation for searching flights. Duration was 2 hours. Next day they called for 3rd round and it was technical Face to face and it went for 45 minutes. Most of the questions were from core Java, collections, design patterns, fundamentals of JVM, jdk etc.
4th round was managerial round- asked me some questions regarding Spring Framework and discussed on Salary.
5th round- Director round - kind of organization fitment and behavioural.
6th round- HR round and it was direct discussion on salary and no other questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Better prepare your fundamentals and Hanson knowledge on core Java instead of searching for questions.
Hi, congratulations in getting a role here at SSP; we wish you all the best. We have recently hired an inhouse recruiter to improve the overall candidate experience and as a global company we are looking at how we consistently test our employees. It would be great if you have any specific feedback in this area for you to send it to HR or post on yammer, so we can incorporate it into our future processes.
