I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ryder System (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jun 2014
Interview
The interview process was about three weeks, first, there was a phone interview. Second, there was a face to face interview, where one of the managers wore a revealing top, and then the third interview was on the phone for about 1 hour. Two weeks later, I was hired onto the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. How would you handle policy changes?
3. How do you handle difficult situations?
4. Why should we pick you as a employee of the team?
The interview was primarily conversational and followed a typical structured interview format. The interviewer asked behavioral and situational questions using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). Much of the discussion focused on my previous work experience, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and examples of how I handled challenges in the workplace. The atmosphere was professional and allowed for a detailed discussion of my qualifications and experience.

Question 1
Describe a situation where something didn’t go as planned and how you handled it.
The interview process was quick. I had to interview with 2 people over teams but they didn’t drill me with questions. They asked general situational questions that are standard in every interview.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you dealt with a difficult customer?
I applied online. I interviewed at Ryder System (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2021
Interview
The process is too long, they interview twice and ask too many unnecessary questions. They were very informal on my first interview by telling me I had gotten the job and 3 days later calling to tell me they couldn’t hire me after all.
