Let me preface by saying I really wanted this job and to work for this company. I applied in mid-December and didn't hear anything until Jan 23, when they asked me to do a design prompt. I sent it back that day, and did not hear anything (including acknowledgment of receipt) until an internal recruiter contacted me a week later to set up a phone interview. She first confirmed my interview for a date with no time, then confirmed the time after I pointed out there was no confirmed time. The time for my phone interview rolled around on 2/1, and they never called me. I followed up with the interviewer and didn't get a response. I also followed up with the recruiter to ask what happened to my phone interview and she couldn't explain why I didn't get a call, just that they rescheduled me for the next day. (I also want to add that the recruiter addressed every email to me with "Hey," and never even wrote my actual name.) I had the phone interview on a Friday and was told I would hear back by the end of the following week. I sent a thank you note right after. I didn't hear anything after over a week, so I followed up that Monday, and received no response except for a form rejection on Tuesday. I really wanted this job, put my job search on hold otherwise, and I feel put through the ringer after two months of stringing me along. I have heard Rover is a fantastic place to work, so this was a really surprising and disappointing experience all around.
