Interview
Be prepared to talk to about four or five people. You’ll start with their Recruiter, then their area manager, then their regional Director, then their head of stores. Altogether it’s about a month long recruiting process.

Question 1
They are very big on team development and I have a lot of questions on how you manage various situations with staff performance and behaviors
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rothy’s in Oct 2025
Interview
I recently interviewed for the VP of Product Development & Production role at Rothy’s and was very impressed by how professional and human the process felt. From the first conversation with Kara Eula, who showed a surprising depth of footwear and sourcing knowledge, to my discussion with Michelle Velasquez Pulido, the Chief People Officer, every step was well-organized, transparent, and engaging.
Although I wasn’t selected for the final round, I appreciated the swift communication and the respect shown throughout the process. It’s clear that Rothy’s practices the same curiosity, empathy, and integrity it’s known for as a brand. A genuinely positive candidate experience that left a great impression.

Question 1
“What’s the size of your current team?”
or
“How many people do you manage today?”
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Rothy’s
Interview
Applied online and recruiter reached out to schedule interview within a couple days. So far so good. Unfortunately, that's where my positive experience ended. Recruiter didn't seem interested in me or engaged. Right off the bat, I was asked if I had any questions—as if we were wrapping up the interview with 25 minutes left. When I started to ask questions, I was interrupted and asked to share my background. As you can see, this interview was all over the place. When I asked about the culture, the recruiter said it was great because they hired everyone. Seemed bias and a Red Flag. At this point, I wasn't interested in moving forward.
