I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RadioShack in Feb 2009
Interview
Used Linkedin.com to find HR people for Radioshack. Interviews were standard interviews with personality test to match skills to job, untill I was flown to Fort Worth TX for an interview with the Area VP. Interview was short and asked very few questions. I asked what the company's mission statement was and he stated they did not have one or believe in one. I knew then that this was probably a bad idea. The executives all liked to talk big about their accomplishments or about the people they hired who were promoted. But in truth they manage by fear and intimidation. I asked if there was any autonomy in running the district and they stated coldly "NO!"
Bad company to work for.

Interview
I applied on line and was contacted by an area recruiter. After the screening interview, I interviewed with a Regional Sales Director. From there I went to an interview with a Divisional Sales Director. From there I went to the corporate office for a final interview with executive management. The offer was made the next day by a Human Resource representative.

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RadioShack (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
The whole thing was very fast - if you can breathe you can get the job. If Denise interviews you, then just agree with her crass, gum-snapping quips and you are in. Think like a biker-chick.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here. Really, it is a punishing place, and I ask myself why I did.

Interview
The HR manager and the regional director left the office door open during my interview while the other DMs sat in the next room in a meeting. The secretary asked to close the door at which point the HR manager said to leave it open so the DMs in the meeting could hear. When I asked about turnover, they said that none of the DMs had been in their current role with the company for longer than a year.
