RTÉ Interview Questions

There were three interviewers for this panel position. Many of the questions were quite loaded to gauge political views. No practical questions were asked about prior work experience or education. No feedback given.

First stage interview, online video call. Myself with three interviewers. Everyone was really polite and friendly, all came across really friendly. They asked what I felt about broadcast media and then went into more of the specific role questions.

Easy and friendly. Took 30 minutes. Is good to know about the companies program. The whole process took 2 weeks and they informed candidates within a week which I think was very efficient. Three person were interviewing.

Easy and informal, interviewer was easy to understand and gave me time to answer questions. Nice environment for the purposes of the interview. Had the opportunity to answer questions in an easy format.

Two round, each time with the same panel of 3 people. Run of the mill questions, as well as org-centric questions. Didnt look at or ask questions about my work which I thought was strange given the position. They were mostly concerned about your opinion of their work and culture. They were late for all interviews, without contacting me although I was waiting in a building without a receptionist and didnt know if I was even in the right place. Most importantly, they set the interviews back to back, which meant that I ran into other applicants both times. They should really take applicant's privacy more seriously.

Sit down interview with two people. Very kind and patient and encouraging. Would guide me back to the question if I wandered. It was fast paced and rigorous. They explained exactly what the job was and who I’d Be working with, the hours and commitments.

Very formal and old school. If it it was a font it would be Times New Roman size 12. Two engineering managers, one supervisor and a HR rep. Veruy standard questions - where do you see realtive technology in 10 years, technical knowledge question across broad spectrum - IP, IT, Hardware, software. Examples of previous experience. Your personal views on relative media landscape.

Took about 4 weeks between application and interview. Was met by a panel of 4 people - 2 from Digital, 1 from TV and 1 from HR. Was promised feedback from HR which I had requested but it never came even with follow up emails. The position was eventually awarded internally and my gut is that was the way it was always going to go. Overall a positive interview experience but poor feedback.

an Interview board consisting of two HR management personnel and 1 technical manager rushed through a quick 5-minute interview which was uncomfortable and almost demeaning. A glass of water would have been a nice consideration

A standard interview with a panel of 3 people - one person from HR, one from Programming & one from Digital Services. There was a long delay between applying and receiving an interview date. The person from HR started by briefly running through my CV to detail my experience. The more detailed and job-specific questions came from the other two.
