Most confusing experience I ever had!! 1) one hour phone call with an internal recruiter, she was very nice, talked about previous experience. I couldn't have been more clear about my experience and the projects I worked on, immediately after the interview I received few links for online assessments (multiple choice questions). upon completing the tests I received a good feedback and within 2 hours I was scheduled for a 2nd interview 2) 2nd interview (2 days after the initial interview)... One hour technical questions interview. The Principal Architect that interviewed me was very nice. his questions made a lot of sense...the focus was on the concepts and use case scenarios rather than syntax. Exactly 10 minutes after the interview I received a good feedback and was told I will have a final interview scheduled very soon (with a VP this time). 3) The next morning I received a phone call from the recruiter, Bad news! :)...basically the gist of the call is that the job description didn't reflect the skillset and tools they are looking for ..she said although the job description mentioned Angular; that's not what they are looking for, and instead they are looking for someone with experience in react!! on top of that they are looking for someone with extensive! experience in Azure (cloud architect level - the job description didn't mention Azure nor cloud computing at all ) :) She also said that my current location (although this is a remote job) wasn't approved by the VP (I thought the location issue was cleared after the first interview!! why waste time on a 2nd interview before approving the location) After that phone call I was perplexed for half a day, then spent the 2nd half laughing!! Basically they totally wasted my time and theirs ...they asked questions on Angular! while looking for someone with react experience! Everything about this experience was weird! having said that; I'm not sure what else I was expecting from a ".Net consultants shop" . There is a reason why I never even thought about applying to a .net shop! You get what you apply for : .Net body shops == utter cluelessness!
