I had a very positive interview experience with QM. It took about three weeks for me to hear back after I applied, and I was told this was due to recruiters being understandably overwhelmed. The interview process started with a 30-minute video screening call with a hiring manager, followed by a take-home technical challenge that took about 4 hours. I found the tasks to be a mix of challenging and fun. The next step was a 90-minute interview with two hiring managers that involved a code review of the take-home challenge and another small live coding challenge. The next step was an interview with the department engineering manager, and this was followed by another interview with the Senior VP of Engineering. Finally, the last step of the interview process is a 15-minute phone interview with the CEO to talk about core values and vision. Despite the unavoidable nerves of tech interviews, all of the folks who interviewed me at QM made me feel comfortable and welcome. I appreciated the transparency and clarity from the hiring managers throughout the process, as well as the genuine feedback they provided on my performance and fit for the team. Although the interview process was relatively long and involved, I personally appreciated this format, as I was able to genuinely decide whether the team and company were good fits for me by getting to know a good amount of people and learning from each of them over a couple of weeks.
Overall, extremely positive experience.
