I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Richmond, VA) in Sept 2015
Interview
The hiring process is very extensive and takes alot of patience on your part but overall I appreciate how diligent Progressive is during this process of choosing the right candidates for this position. The overall process takes about a month. I applied on Progressive's website and received an e-mail maybe 2 days later asking to complete an assessment. I passed the assessment and set up a phone interview one week later. After my phone interview, I received an e-mail asking to conduct a background check. The background check took about one week and a half as I had to contact a couple of my employers to verify my start and end dates with them. I was scheduled for a face to face interview which is similiar to the phone interview in that they ask you behavioral questions and expect your responses in the STAR method. I recieved a phone call from the recruiter the next day but I was unable to answer and by the time I called back she was gone for the day. Hopefully Monday morning, I'll find out whether or not I got the position.

Interview
Met the minimum requirements, then I got a link to the four part assessment. Once I passed the assessment, almost right away I got an invite to a HireVue interview. Finally, I got to interview with real people.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer.
It was a fairly lengthly process which involved the application, an assessment, pre-recorded one way interview, and a live virtual interview. Asked behavior-based STAR questions. It was extensive with at least 10 questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Allentown, PA) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process is extensive, there are several levels after applying for the position. Initially there are several questions to answer followed by a video interview with Behavioral questions to be answered in their STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result) followed by the following interview with an actual manager. This interview was also answering additional behavioral questions in the STAR format and answering several other questions. After all was said and done. I received an e-mail informing me they went a different direction.
