I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pinterest (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
Coding challenge (3 questions; the website they used involved using a VM to code which was extremely laggy. Use the feature where you can code on your own desktop and sync files.)Two rounds of technical phone interviews and an optional third if needed. Made it to the 2nd round, then was rejected, probably because my code was kind of buggy, I wasn't familiar with some of their products, and didn't have enough experience (which they told me).

Interview
Hard leetcode dynamic programming depth first search problem for the technical that I could only get the brute force solution for. People were really nice though and the process was smooth

Overall experience was neutral. Got an online assessment, finished it the next day. Did not hear back from them for 3 months. All of the test cases passed for the OA.
