Started with applying online, recruiter contacted in a week or so. Was asked general screening questions with some more interesting questions... but answerable listed below. Then recruiter sent me a questionnaire to describe technical skills on a scale of 1-10 which is straight forward. This included some fun questions too. Her communication was not too good as well. I asked her few questions with regards to interview process and team - she didn't respond even by email. Unimpressed.
Few more days later, she scheduled a phone interview. It was straight forward until here - then the fun begins, 'sarcasm'. I didn't like the process after this. I get a call from the team with 3 people on the phone(I think they were in the same room together), they started asking questions related to the position but most annoying thing was, few more people were calling in and out of the call. This caused disturbance and distraction. My guess is there were at least 7-8 people listening on this call. Still wondering, why so many? Not so smooth for a initial phone screen. Can't they make a decision with 1 or 2 people and schedule another phone screen with other team members?
Process and communication is just a mess. It is just overwhelming for the person being interviewed. On top of that there was noise and echo on that side. Then I realized if the process is so messy...I wonder how disorganized the work place would be. Not so welcoming and this was the first time I talked to the "whole" team - implicitly and explicitly. Talk about start ups huh.
Totally Unorganized. Wonder how the work place will be...
