The interview process started out great! Well organized and planned out thoughtfully so that you can meet a great deal of the team, your future colleagues, and managers. There were a total of 8 interviews, which was quite a lot, but there were a few that were shorter and back-to-back so that took less planning effort. The interviews took a sharp, negative turn when they surprised me with the fact that the job I had applied for (which explicitly said NYC in the job description, had spoken about my willingness to come to the NYC office several times a week, and any relocation issues) was in fact NOT in New York, but rather Los Angeles. I shared my surprise, but was willing to be flexible. Two of my interviewers were more than 20 minutes late to the interview, another thing I am willing to accept as I know how crazy things can get. But, in my last interview, my interviewer was visibly distracted, clearly didn't listen to my answers, repeated the same questions, and was rude about willingness to relocate (which I had already said 3x that I was happy to do)! In the end, they selected another candidate, who I've since learned was already based in LA. But, given the rudeness of the last interviewer, who was meant to be my team lead or boss' boss, I wouldn't have taken the job anyway.
