Interview
Recruiter reached out and expressed interest in me due to my direct match in profile with what they were looking for in developer experience role in product management.
After the recruiter call, I had a hiring manager call. The interviewer asked me to share screen and go over live giving feedback about what I would change about the API documentation and API itself. I have 7 years of experience building API tools and documentation and they knew this going into the interview. After soliciting a round of ideas from me live, the interviewer expressed that she was non technical and was looking for people like me to help contribute to the team.
This left me feeling like they got a free consultation rather than an actual job requisition. They rejected me after this interview saying “I didnt have enough product managenent/building experience”.
Beware of fake jobs and getting solicited for free advice for a subject area matter where you have expertise. Decline any questions about their specific product and how you would improve it. Its a scam interview.
I made it through a couple rounds of interviews, but I felt unclear what they were assessing and specifically looking for. Kind of generic questions. Didn't get much feedback throughout process. Felt a bit like they didn't feel enthused at the outset of interview and unfortunately didn't move forward.

Interview
Everything was communicated well and recruiter was awesome until after first round interview communication stopped completely. After reaching out to recruiter there was no answer. This was strange especially because there was total of 9 candidates and recruiter was saying they eill reach out to everyone.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oura (Oulu) in Oct 2024

1st interview, HR contacted & intro +interview.
2nd interview, technical team (3 persons) interviewed
3rd interview, C-level executive
After this I just waited for decision and finally was offered the position
