The interview process began with an HR screening, followed by two extremely challenging face-to-face technical rounds. The questions were very difficult and demanded a high level of expertise.
The salary offered was well below average—around $60k per year—which is significantly under market rate for this type of technical position, especially in Canada.
Even though my resume clearly listed 3 years of relevant experience, they moved forward with the interviews but later questioned the lack of 5+ years, which felt inconsistent and frustrating.
I would not recommend applying here. The company conducted major layoffs in 2025 (approximately 1,600 jobs as part of restructuring), raising serious questions about job stability. Additionally, the stock (OTEX) has performed poorly, down roughly 26% this year and over 50% over the past 5 years, reflecting broader challenges and adding to overall uncertainty about the company's direction.
