The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Microsoft in Jan 2009
Interview
Interviewed with a panel of 3 people - Head of department, my potential direct supervisor and a potential co-worker.
They asked me several high level questions about C#, how it compared to C++ (i.e., garbage collection, constructors/destructors), several network administration questions (OSI model, how firewalls work, port filterting), differences between scripting and compiled languages, how DNS works and generally high level questions. No white-boarding.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Manila, Manila) in Jun 2025
Interview
Smooth and the interviewee was very polite and professional, I was able to talk comfortable and for now this is a great interview process that I attend as a fresh graduate

I recently had an interview with a tech company, and it was a mix of challenging yet rewarding experiences. The process started with an initial phone screening where I was asked about my background, current projects, and technical skills. This was followed by a coding assessment conducted online
