I applied for the position via their website and heard back for a phone interview less than 2 weeks later. The phone interview with the recruiter was okay. The questions were simple screening questions to verify my eligibility to work. Also a few personality questions. Although it was straight forward I did not enjoy the vibe from the recruiter. The process seemed rushed like she was being bothered, she didn't appear to want to answer my questions about the role and also didn't seem knowledgeable about the role herself. At the end, she stated the next step in the process would be an in-person interview if I was chosen to move forward. Less than a week later I received a workday email on their decision that "I have not been selected for the position". No reason given. I've gotten turned down for jobs before and moved on. But I think this decision was absolutely ridiculous and unfair. Everything outlined in this role is something I've done before, or currently do. I'm also familiar with the industry. I met the qualifications. They wanted 5 years experience minimum, I have 12. I also have experience in the ERP system they use as it is the first ERP listed on my resume. My salary requirements were within the range McKesson themselves provided. I agreed to a possible drug test. I agreed to the hybrid schedule and stated I currently commute to the same area. Very basic questions. I don't believe I was given a fair chance due to it just being a phone screening with an unengaged and uninformed recruiter. If I was denied after having an in-person interview I would still be disappointed, but I would feel like I was given more of a fair chance to expand on my experience and myself as a worker with people who are actually in the role.
