Difficult interview
Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's in Mar 2011
Interview
I found the position I was interested in through my university's career center within the business school. I attended several information sessions, career fairs and panels the Macy's recruiters attended in order to gather information on the company, if it was something i was interested in as well as making a name for myself. The first interview was held on campus and was a behavioral interview as well as basic interview. After first interview I was invited to go to NYC for an over night interview consisting of information sessions, personal presentations, group presentations as well as one on one interviews. The best advice is to be yourself, show your interest in the retail and do a lot of research on the company.
2 back-to-back 30min online interview, final round 2 days with HR presentation, Q&A panel, 2 interviews and 1 short business case, overall process well-organized and good experience, would get a call for offer/no offer within 2 weeks

Interview
I applied on a handshake and revieved an email for an interview a few weeks later. I was interviewed by two individuals on zoom, each 30-minute sessions. Each session involved 15 minutes of answering questions about myself, and 15 minutes for me to ask questions.

Interview
Fairly standard. Very welcoming recruiters who were interested in meeting applicants. Two thirty minute interviews as a first round. Spoke to both HR and actual store managers who were highly knowledgeable.
