I applied online. I interviewed at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) in Mar 2013
Interview
I applied online and heard back from the department I applied to very quickly and set up my interview. The campus is very large and very easy to get lost and traffic in the area can be very bad. I was almost late to the interview due to being lost on campus so anyone applying should plan to arrive very early! There are plenty of nice areas to sit and relax and get coffee if you arrive too early for your interview. Once I arrived to the department I had an interview with all of the supervisors at the same time. They let me know that if I wanted the job I could contact HR. I went to HR and they did not know I was there that day (apparently I was supposed to stop there first before going to the department but I was not told this on the phone) but they took care of me and I got an offer letter via email the next day. There were several visits to HR after to fill out paperwork, meet with employee health and there was a 2 week institutional orientation.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) in Sept 2023
Interview
Definitely is an intense process, so make sure to do your research on the position, institution, and department you are applying for. Make sure you know the steps of research and the interdisciplinary fields that contribute.
