My overall interview experience was very positive. The panel of three interviewers had a friendly and welcoming demeanour, which helped put me at ease. Each person asked thoughtful questions relevant to their area of expertise. The interview began with technical questions, as the role is technical, and then moved on to discussions about the company culture and the values at LBG. It was a single-round interview, and I received an offer about a week later.

Consisted of a technical and strength based style of questioning. The technical side: SQL: 1. Explain all the types of joins (including UNION/MINUS) 2. Explain the “Explain” function and how it works 3. How would you query to see if all the rows in a given column are unique and how would you find duplicates? Python: 1. Find the first and last element in a given list 2. For a given list with a bunch of numbers, how would you return the even numbers and ensure it stops at 267. Could you outline an example of a time when you trusted someone else to complete a task on your behalf? – describe what you did to empower this person? Tell me about a time that you recognised that you had made a mistake – How did you ensure any problems this caused were resolved and learnt from? Could you give me an example of when you have challenged something that you felt wasn’t right – why is challenging things that aren’t right important to you personally? Talk me through the steps you’d take to build great relationships with your colleagues. -Can you give an example of when you’ve developed a great relationship in the past.
