      Production Coordinator Interview

      16 Oct 2024
      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lemonlight (Los Angeles, CA)

      Interview

Fairly quick and easy. There were two zoom calls. I was given a phone call that I got a job offer. Questions were a lot about experience and if I worked with budgets in the past and how large were the budgets.

      Question 1

What was the largest budget you worked with when working on a shoot?

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lemonlight (Marina del Rey, CA) in Aug 2016

      Interview

I was introduced to the CEO via email and set up a phone interview for the same week. The phone interview went really well and I was asked to come in and meet the team. She seemed pretty eager to fill the position since the employee that had the position at the time was leaving. The office is smaller than my apartment, and they had about 20 people working side by side in there. I met with the CEO and went over my work history, what I like to do, etc., and then she brought in her significant other and the employee that had the position I was there to fill. The employee was super friendly and went over her daily tasks with me. The guy seemed annoyed by my presence and went about the rest of the interview pretty unprofessionally, leaning back in the chair looking out the window + tapping his flip flops like he had better things to be doing. The employee ended the interview and they said they'd follow up with me later that week. I sent a thank you email anyways. A week went by and I hadn't heard back so I sent a follow up email. The CEO emailed me back and told me they were finalizing things on their end and would be in touch soon. I never received anything after that. Regardless of their decision to hire me or not, it would have been more professional to give me a yes or no, than to leave me hanging for 3+ weeks. I understand the start-up vibe of a company, as I've worked for several, and this kind of behavior is a trend unfortunately.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The typical "Tell me about yourself" type of question. If you type "Interview Questions" into Google, they pretty much went down the list.
