An initial interview with the recruiter, followed by interviews with the hiring director, two senior engineers for an architectural discussion, product manager and scrum master, and a final interview with the CTO. Overall, everyone seemed very nice, down-to-earth, competent, and professional. Kin cares about culture which is evident by the extensive interview process which I found to be a good thing. Derek the recruiter was top-notch and very supportive throughout the interview process. He really embodies the qualities of a great recruiter and I wish more recruiters at other companies followed his example and values when working with candidates. At the end of the day the role was not meant to be, but I wish Kin much success as they grow and do greater things.
