    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kearney (New York, NY (US)) in January 2011.

    Interview

Typical business school interviewing process. First round: two case interviews with Manager or Principal Second/Final round: three interviews. One is a 1 hour live case with a manager the other two are with Partners. One of which is a standard case and the other is a more typical behavioral fit interview.

    Interview Questions

    • Live case places significant time demands on interviewee. Advice would be to go to paper early and develop quick story board to structure your thoughts.   Answer Question

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kearney (Chicago, IL (US)) in February 2010.

    Interview

I had two interviews with this company, back to back each 45 minutes. They consisted of a case and a 'fit' interview. The cases were surprisingly HARD! The interviewer didn't give me a ton of direction and yet he clearly had an answer that he was driving towards. They didn't smile very much either which made it hard to get into the 'fit' conversation. I'm not sure what they're looking for, but I'm kind of glad I didn't get another interview because it was NOT fun to interact with these people.

    Interview

We applied first for the case challenge, which was a full day of problem solving in teams of 4. There were 16 of us at the case interview, then 6 of us made it through to final round interviews.
The final interviews were 2 back to back 40 minute interviews, each interview was half behavioural and half case interview style.

    Summer Associate Interview

Anonymous Employee in Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at Kearney (Dubai (United Arab Emirates)) in April 2015.

    Interview

On campus recruiting for Round 1 with Manager, followed by 3 rounds of Skype interviews with Principals and Partners over 6 weeks. Round 2-4 were conducted over skype / telephone.
Pricipals were from different sectors, but made the interviews interesting.
    All interviews lasted 1 hour.

    Interview Questions

    • Fit + Case.
The first case on campus had lots of charts and figures, and was searching for 2nd level insights drawn from the data and the calculations. Self-driving the case was important.
Advanced level round cases were unconventional and were being changed on the feet.   Answer Question
    • Why ATK? Why Dubai? Why consulting? Discuss in detail my work experience, how I did what I did, etc. A bit of discussion on 2 projects.   Answer Question

    Summer Associate Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Brussels (Belgium)
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I interviewed at Kearney (Brussels (Belgium)) in November 2013.

    Interview

Fairly standard process. All interviews in 1 day. First one with a manager, then principal and the last one with a partner. The last partner interview had one tricky question which was more a business economics question than -what he called it himself- brain teaser. Didn't do well on that question which probably cost me the offer.

    Summer Associate Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Vienna (Austria)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Kearney (Vienna (Austria)) in January 2019.

    Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kearney (Brussels (Belgium)) in December 2013.

    Interview

1 Answer
