I applied online. I interviewed at KPMG (Brisbane) in Apr 2025
Interview
Interview process was similar to a lot of other firms. First round was an online skills assessment. Second round was an online interview (record your answers and submit, no talking to an actual person). Third and final round was the in-person interview. This was split into two parts. In the first part, you were given a brief case study and had to type your answers to a question in 5 minutes. The second part was the actual interview. There were behavioural questions and then a case study. The case study was actually quite complicated, moreso than I had experienced in other Big 4 interviews. Definitely brush up on your quantitative/mental math skills, as you are not allowed to use pen/paper or calculator to calculate anything. I had two interviewers, they seemed to be going for a good cop/bad cop vibe, where one was friendly and the other quite harsh. Average interview process overall.

Question 1
Why KPMG? Why this role? Describe a time when you received negative feedback and how did you approach it?
Very standard and situational judgement task. They asked questions with two interviewers, star method used and then there was an opportunity to ask questions as well. The interviewers were all very nice and it was a good experience.
