The process took 5 months. I interviewed at KPMG in May 2011
Interview
Began with HR Manager interviewing me over the phone. Was clear and helpful throughout the process. This was followed by an accounting and language skills test and a team building exercise (pitching a tent - seems to be a favourite). A 1:1 interview at Manager level. The interview was brief - about 15 mins. The interviewer was about average in his approach. Basic stuff like how I see myself progressing, why KPMG etc. Followed by an interview at Director level which was more of an interpersonal skills test and feeling you out on how well you know the job your applying for. Also helpful info about the firm and career progression etc. Overall straightforward. Only downside was the time between meetings.
Advisory Internship interview. Two behavioral 30-minute interviews with a manager and an MD. received the offer over the phone after around 2 weeks. accepted the full time offer post internship.
2 rounds of behavioral interviews; come prepared to speak about yourself, answer scenario-based questions, and ask thoughtful questions of your interviewers.
They will ask questions specific to the Advisory practice you applied to, so come prepared with relevant accomplishments and solutions you've implemented in that domain previously.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at KPMG (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
It was fluid! The interviewer didn’t ask me anything out of the ordinary. It was primarily a fit check rather than technical. I’ve heard it varies, i may have just gotten a chill recruiter.
