I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at J. Crew (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Interview was pretty simple. Met with the manger dressed in J Crew attire and the interview began. It was pretty laid back the manager didn't make me feel nervous or awkward at all. About two weeks after I got a call to come in and start filling out paperwork. Soon after that you'll do a "nice to meet you" where you'll go over discussion questions and scenarios after this you'll officially start working.

Interview
Easy, phone call then in-person. You basically just answer personality questions and give basic experience to show you can interact with customers professionally. Then, they will detail what you can expect in terms of pay and work schedule.

Question 1
What is your previous customer service experience.
I was asked questions about my retail experience and style preferences. Overall it felt pretty casual and I was told on the spot that I would get the job. It was my first retail job (previously worked in food service/was finishing school).
