      Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The recruiter called me and said the team is fast growing and that they wanted people to work on it. The recruiter shared an SQL take home assessment which I completed and shared in a couple of days. Post which, there was an interview with the hiring manager who was late 20's youth. Grilled into the details of AB testing and SQL query writing on coderpad. The interview went pretty good and I was expecting the recruiter reach out. I followed up in few days, but the recruiter ghosted me off completely! After spending time for an assessment and an interview, ghosting off is the worst thing that can be done. Anyway, it is good for me, as I was skeptical about this team and role, hearing from an ex-employee .

      Staff Business Data Analyst Interview

      20 Aug 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Mountain View, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Intuit (Mountain View, CA)

      Interview

Phone interview...followed by Craft Demonstration. Interviewed with Product Manager, Hiring Manager and Analyst.. Overall, the people were great and very accommodating. I would recommend people applying for Intuit given the hiring process they have in place.. They really go an extra mile to make candidate comfortable. But what I did not like about them the interview seems like a one way street.. to me it seems like they were looking for more in craft interview but they still ended up wasting my next 2 hrs in interview... While I received feedback that I was strong in technical knowledge and Visualization but weaker in story telling.. I was taken aback as data did not had conclusive evidence to narrate an actual story...Moreover, if they like to fabricate a story..they are good to do it themselves..i am not looking for data job where yu force your narrative by simply throwing sm made up number on ppt... at the end i was happy not to be with team who are data team for namesake....
