I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Insight Global (Washington, DC) in May 2016
Interview
Within a week of initially contacting me, not only had I completed an interview, I had a job offer. The interview was open forum \ group, describing past experince, personal outlooks, opinions, etc. It lacked the typical, almost insulting 'what is this command for' type questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked to tell a little about myself and my experiences. I was not asked detailed technical 'how to' questions
Another recruiter ghosting experience
A recruiter reached out to me in a rush to fill a network engineer role. They messaged me and then cold called me a few minutes later. We discussed the role, my specific qualifications, and salary range. They promised to get back to me by the end of day with additional details and a potential interview and then ghosted me. Zero response to any attempts to follow up.

Question 1
Do you have experience managing multiple domains and DNS records?
I applied online. I interviewed at Insight Global in Oct 2025
Interview
Very fast process and responsive. Recruiter contacted me via linkedin and was able to get an interview with the hiring manager the next day and that afternoon I receive the offer and onboarding email. I guess it all depends whether the hiring manager likes you or not.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very simple questions from the recruiter about what you do and what the responsibility of the candidate they are looking for. Then the hiring manager just about the usual tell me about your yourself and experience and then asks a few tech questions and that was it. The afternoon afterwards I got the offer and onboarding email.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Insight Global (Jacksonville, FL) in Jun 2022
Interview
I was supposed to have two different interviews with two different recruiters at Insight, and both times they ghosted me. This after saying that my resume was superb and I would be a great fit for their position. Additionally when I called and emailed after to find out why they missed my meeting, no response came from them. That is very, very unprofessional. I know IT can be a pretty fast paced field, but common courtesy is still something I believe in. These guys seem to be the slimiest of the slimy and fully lack professionalism. I will never look to them for placement ever again. My time is money, and They seriously wasted my time on two occasions. Buyer beware with Insight Global.
That said, I did ultimately get a call from one of the companies that Insight was trying to recruit me to because they saw my resume on Indeed. They took me through the interview process, and offered me the position, but I ultimately declined the position.
