Interview

After being told that I would be called for an on-site interview, they changed their mind and decided not to go for it. Kind of disappointed but the interview itself was decent

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at IBM (Yorktown Heights, NY (US)) in May 2018.

    Interview

The process took 4 months. There were two phone interviews and a nine hour in-person interview at Yorktown Heights with twelve interviewers. I would not consider the interview technical, but there were a handful of questions about basic computer science that only one person asked. After I interviewed, the hiring manager ghosted me. After three emails to the hiring manager of the period of a month, he sent me scripted response. I would not recommend the quantum computing division of IBM. The interviewers seemed intimidated by my PhD, I really don’t know why I was asked to interview.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at IBM in May 2018.

    Interview

I applied online when the job was recently posted and cleared the initial screening. I received the invitation for IPAT test, which I gave the very next day when I received the invitation email. Ever since that day, the job application status was shown as "Interviews". I have been following up with the recruiter ever since that day which she never responded. After few days, I had to call IBM for the followup. They told me to email my concerns to IBM Opportunities Support which I did. After two days, I receive an email from the recruiter saying that this position has been filled.

It hurts to see a company like IBM, shows such negligence.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at IBM (Cambridge, MA (US)).

    Interview

Questioned by a panel of software engineers. Each interviewer asked a couple of question however, because I was on speaker I couldn't hear some of the technical questions I answered the questions incorrectly. It was not a great experience.

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (San Jose, CA (US)) in February 2018.

    Interview

    No Phone Screen.
    Direct Offsite.
Interviewed by 5 engineers and a manger.
Linked Lists, Data structs and Algos.
Multiple coding and networking were asked of me and one of the interviewer was not listening to any of the answers which was strange as she was more involved in disproving what I was saying. Weird.
Apart from that the process was smooth.

    Interview

Starts off as a phone screen, then you get a take home assessment, and then in person interview. Interviewer was not super helpful unlike most interviewers, and the whole process was rather slow.
