I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at IBM (Boston, MA (US)).

    Interview

One interview with someone on the team; multiple interviews with the hiring manager. Brought me into the office for multiple one-day interviews and the Director and several people who were supposed to interview me were not there that day, did not show up, or didn't come into the office and called instead (after I traveled from the West to the East Coast)

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Houston, TX (US)) in April 2017.

    Interview

Quick to ask a ton of questions online with urgency in an email and no call back. i felt quite misled and manipulated by the process. IBM should not send emails that imply you are a final candidate in the entry process nor should they say they will call within the week and not call back. KEEP YOUR PROMISES!

It was decent just a quick little interview. Then boom "I'll call you within a few days". Never reached out. Overall I don't think they were interested in me anyway

Anonymous Employee in Boston, MA (US)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at IBM (Boston, MA (US)) in March 2016.

    Interview

Brief and mostly focused on personality and sales experience.

Lots of conversation about the current state of tech.

Several questions aimed at developing an understanding of the ways in which I viewed internal interface systems.

Managed to speak with over five different people before the two days of interviewing were over.

Process was smooth and I was entirely aware of every step in the process.
