I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2007
Interview
Initially, I submitted my resume through USC on campus interviews. Ironically, USC lost my resume and didn't include it. When I hadn't heard back from the HR contact at IBM, I followed up with a phone call and she had not received my resume! I sent it to her and she reviewd, then I had an initial phone interview with her. The next week, I had follow-up 1 on 1 interviews with 4 managers in pacific southwest over the course of two days. Received offer day after final interview. I don't know how quickly IBM generally moves, but they were under pressure in this case as they knew MBA grads were already receiving offers from other companies.
