I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2015
Interview
While it was certainly the most difficult interview process I have been through, the team, particularly the recruiter made it as pleasant as possible. I was referred by a friend and met some of the team at a recruitment mixer. The hiring process began with a 15-minute phone call with the recruiter, this was a general interview to talk about my current job, ambitions and knowledge about the company, she told me on the phone that she would like to put me through to the next stage. This was a 30-minute interview with the team lead on the phone. She asked more specific questions about inbound, Hubspot and my experience. The next round was a roleplay with the team lead and another team member over the phone. They played out scenarios with customers and threw in a few curveballs to see how I would think on my feet and problem solve. The next round was a face-to-face interview with four members of the team. This was held over three stages with each 30-minute segment having a different theme: job fit, extra job fit and culture fit. Unfortunately the culture fit section was changed at the last minute and was more of an inbound exam. I had prepared for lots of unusual questions but the interview was focussed on my account management and client relationship experience with lots of scenario based questions. I didn't get the job but they provided very clear feedback which was very much appreciated.
Initial call, call with team leader, case study to present to team afterwards. Everyone was friendly and positive. They have lots of resources online to use as well to prepare for your call.
