I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (Waterloo, ON)
Interview
The messiest and most series of unnecessary interviews I've ever had in my career, with 8 to 10 rounds of interviews, lasting over 3 months.
1. Recruiter screening x2
2. HR interview x2
3. Senior recruiter interview x2
4. Client interview (engineering manager)
waited 3 weeks before any feedback or communication, and when they got back, they were asking for more interviews because their shifting focus to another priority department:
5. Director of tech
6. HR manager interview
7. Client interview (another dept engineering manager)
Then I got an offer with option to work as an independent incorporated contractor, or through a third party agency (Tundra Technical). I opted to go incorporated which we all agreed, but they wanted me to start in 4 days (counting the weekends), barely enough to give my current employer any notice.
This was contrary to an established agreement that I needed 1 month to start (2 weeks for employer notice, and 2 weeks to relocate).
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (Bengaluru) in Dec 2016
Interview
There were three interviews and HR Round. In the final interview they asked about expected compensation. HR even called me and lied to me that they have provided more than my expected compensation and pressured me to resign my present job and join immediately, while in reality compensation was way too less than my expectation. When I called the HR back regarding the offered number he denied any knowledge about the offered numbers. Finally, HR decided to rescind my offer just because I asked about the compensation which was much less than my expectation. I do not want to write names here. The HR has behaved in the most unprofessional manner (one lady and a guy in HR). HR is very very unprofessional in huawei.
