Howard County Library interview questions

I interviewed in December 2023. They asked irrelevant questions. The interview was a normal typical questions about yourself and past job experiences. There were three people who did the interview. As more questions were asked the questions got harder. The were basically a match test on one question is asked that has three parts to the one question. This made it difficult to remember what was asked. When I would asked them to repeat questions I would get judging looking for not memorizing it. They asked personal questions on how I live my life outside of work. Those questions were not the typical ‘what do you do for fun’. No, they were questions on we want all our employees to act this way outside of work do you fit? Out of the random questions asked the ones I remember where they asked me about volunteering outside of work. The job description doesn’t say it is required to volunteer when not at work. I do not have on my resume nor cover letter I volunteer.

For my interview, I prepared a share presentation about a topic of choice and presented it to the class. I then answered questions about my teaching style and areas of expertise. It took about an hour and they were responsive.
