I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Harder Mechanical Contractors (Portland, OR) in May 2020
Interview
Interview was efficient and concise. Focus on culture fit and willingness to learn. Phone screen with HR person, and then had an in person interview and was called a few days after with an offer.
-Quick Phone Interview -Flown to Portland for in- person Interview Why did you fly me to Portland “to make sure you’re not a creep and you could handle the work environment”

Interview
They were late. Headquarters is a pit. Strange for a company that's rated 8th out of the top 600 in the US. Management was flat, arrogant at times and made me feel uncomfortable. Not people that you could easily rally around.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked what my favorite restaurant was...Were they figuring what I was used to monetarily? Top management was very off-putting, so much so that I wouldn't have accepted employment even if offered. It wasn't. I guess having a 7000$ bike brought to the work place while interviewing people might have figured where there priorities were. They focused on parts of my resume that were wholly irrelevant. Frankly, I wished I would not have wasted my time.
