The interview process started out with a phone interview. Afterwards they asked I resubmit my resume - which I did. A day later I was sent a message that after internal review they would like to move forward in the next step of their participation process. The email contained a Graphic Design Prompt and stated that it was optional, but offered insights into how one may be a good fit for their team. This to me — infers "highly encouraged". They also stated they would like to have the Graphic Design Prompt Submission within 3 business days of receipt of the email. That was my first red flag. I decided to still do the creative test prompt. It was extensive for a test. They had two prompts within it, some of which required multiple components. In short I finished it and submitted it. I'm a seasoned designer and my portfolio is more than enough to showcase my skill, but I wanted to show I was serious about my interest in the position — that was my mistake. After I submitted the brief — radio silence. Three days later I get a response that I am not a good fit. Mind you I'm a senior level graphic designer. The work was great and I even shared it with some of my colleagues, who were impressed. Based off this experience alone, I'm not interested in Get Engaged Media. They could have at least offered compensation for my time spent. It's a huge slap in the face for a professional. I have a current job and having to work on the material outside of work hours was extremely inconvenient.
