My interview experience at Genesys was disappointing and in my opinion, poorly structured. The first round was a typical phone screen, but the second round was a two-part (which ended up being a three-part) interview. I don’t feel like my time was well-respected, particularly by the hiring manager. They were late to the second part of the second round interview, which is what necessitated them wanting to schedule another 45 minute meeting (to which they were also late to). They spent the majority of my interview time talking about themself, insinuated drama and made odd comments about past and current employees, and spent over five minutes talking to me about their cat’s throw up… I left this interview feeling quite disappointed and with a bad impression about the company. I hope Genesys can be more strategic about the structure of their interview process (one round should not be broken into three separate meetings), and possibly conduct more training on what should and shouldn’t be discussed in interviews.
