Disappointing Interview Experience – Proceed with Caution
I recently interviewed with Gang Alternative for a leadership role, and unfortunately, the experience was highly unprofessional and disheartening. The interview was conducted by the CEO and Chief of Staff, and it quickly became clear that it was less of a dialogue and more of an interrogation. Both individuals displayed condescending behavior throughout. They exchanged texts during the interview, which was distracting and disrespectful, and Dr. Humes’s nonverbal cues made it obvious that she had no interest in genuinely engaging with me or evaluating my qualifications fairly.
Despite the organization advertising a competitive salary range on their website and through their own recruiter, the conversation turned skeptical the moment I restated that same range in response to their question about compensation expectations—after an hour and 15-minute interview.
When I relayed my concerns to the recruiter who arranged the interview, I was told that this behavior is a common complaint from other candidates as well. That in itself is telling.
Gang Alternative may say they want highly seasoned professionals, but they appear unwilling to compensate accordingly—and even more concerning, they do not treat candidates with the respect and professionalism they claim to value. I encourage anyone considering a position here to read reviews on Glassdoor and other platforms—they reflect my experience accurately.
